Live by the sword and you die by the sword. Normally I have nothing but great things to say about my cable tv provider. Cogeco cable not only supplies me with many moving pictures on my television, I am bundled up with them so it is also responsible for supplying me with the use of a phone and internet connection. Needless to say I rely on this company for a lot.
However, last night Cogeco cable came periously close to becoming the 4th official enemy of blog. The First Lady and I tried to tune into the gold medal game of World Junior Championships last night, only to be denied by a lack of picture and sound. It didn’t take this non rocket scientist long to figure out that Cogeco was obviously experiencing some technical difficulties with all of their systems, because The First Lady tried to use the phone and she received nothing but fuzzy static sounds. The internet was null and void at this moment as well.
Luckily I remembered that the FAN 590 was broadcasting the game so The First Lady and I tuned into Dan Dunleavy and Jack Miller’s call of the final game. The game wasn’t that close in score so I didn’t miss out on much it would appear, but it would’ve been fun to watch nonetheless.
I’ll have to give Cogeco a free pass on this one, but they are on notice that another slip up by them and they will be set to join my pals Guillermo Barros Schellotto, Creeping Charlie and Polybutylene Pipe on the official enemy list from this day forward.
