Everyone in my household will be watching with bated breath on Thursday as the Madness that is the NCAA tourney begins. For the first time in a while I won’t have to make a doctors appointment or hang out in the ER with the hopes of catching the flu (yes, I agree I have some problems) just to watch the opening two days of the tourney on television. Fortunately I’m on March Break this year, thus making it a smooth ride for this fat cat and virtually ensuring that I won’t miss one of Gus Johnson’s near heart attacks (unless I’m making an unscheduled adult beverage run).
Technically, the tourney starts Tuesday night with this matchup of No. 64 and 65 seeds on ESPN, but most diehards only pay casual attention to Is-That-A-Real-School A&M vs. Just-Happy-To-Be-Here State. Mainly because the winner is nothing more than fodder for the No. 1 overall seed(Mlive.com)
However, I offer you another reason (and the most logical reason) to tune into the play-in game.
That reason is Erin Andrews and it will be her last NCAA game of the season. I can’t think of a better way to kick off the madness. EA strolling the sidelines breaking stories and two schools playing their hearts out to get to the dance. Luckily the score will steal televise ESPN’s feed of the game that pits the Hornets of Alamba State vs. the Eagles of Morehead State.
For those of you keeping score let’s revise my senseless drivel. No work, St. Paddy’s Day, NCAA play-in game and Erin Andrews. What can be better than that?
