Larry “not so Chipper” Jones was not amused about being held up in Toronto over the course of a week during the World Baseball Classic.
We stayed in Toronto for a week and played three games. I don’t know if you ever stayed in Toronto, but it’s not exactly Las Vegas. To say that we were plucking our eyebrows out one at a time would be an understatement.”
I guess the Toronto board of trade can scratch off “Not So Chipper” Jones as a celebrity spokesperson to help attract tourist to the big smoke. By many accounts Toronto is a world class city with a plethora of things to occupy one’s time. Apparently there aren’t enough rodeos to keep a belt buckled macho man like Chipper occupied.
Could you imagine Chipper’s disdain if the World Baseball Classic would’ve been held in Buffalo?
