Probably one of the biggest non-shocking sports story in recent weeks is being reported today. A report today states that Sammy Sosa was one of the 104 MLB players to anonymously test positive for being on the juice back in 2003. Can anyone really be shocked at this revelation? Sosa is so irrelevant now it probably won’t matter any way. His chances of getting into Cooperstown were pretty much sealed when he conveniently lost command of the English language (much like in this ad pitch)
It will be interesting to see how many more players are revealed as juicers in the coming months from this so-called anonymous testing. Better yet the question begs whether any ball player from that era will be found out to be clean enough to enter the hallowed halls of Cooperstown?
