I woke up this morning and to my surprise my blog stats have gone through the roof. Upwards to 30,000 hits in the last few days. It was most definitely a head scratcher for this not so bright fat cat. So I did some fact checking on to why my blog stats have spiked so dramatically in such a short time. I mean I haven’t posted anything since I left for my holiday in Scotland (although I have a few post on the way so my 7 readers hold tight).
As I dug into the blog stat section of my site the answer was easy to see. My Erin Andrews posts were responsible for such a huge influx of hits on this mediocre blog. Obviously her recent predicament and notoriety are responsible for traffic and not my stale musings. For those not in the know Erin Andrews had her privacy comprimised when some dingbat drilled a hole into her hotel room and filmed her in her birthday suit.
Not cool by anybody’s standard I’m sure. Andrews has been grievously wronged here. It was a gross invasion of privacy and the meat whistle who is responsible for this should be tossed in the pen. Plain and simple. For my part on this situation I tend to agree and follow the wisdom shared by Jimmy Traina from Hot Clicks, who said
I’ve read a couple of stories from people who have said this was bound to happen given the blogosphere’s obsession with E.A. As someone who’s written about Erin Andrews on a regular basis for two-plus years, all I have to say is, bull. When you post pics of someone on the sideline at a game or on the red carpet of an event and you say the person is your favorite sideline reporter or America’s sweetheart, the next logical step is NOT cutting out a hole in her hotel room and filming her while she’s naked and putting the video on the Internet.
