Today on day 2 of Daddy Day Care I was lucky enough to have my sister offer to take the young squire while I went to play a round of golf at Mystic with my brother in law Dan. A magnanimous gesture to say the least and a great trade off for many, but I have to tell you that I did agonize over the decision for some time. However I knew the young squire was in great hands with Auntie Amie so I packed my bag and headed out for the course.
I haven’t played all that much golf in the last two years. Before the announcement of the impending arrival of the young squire I tried to play as much as I could (all in an effort to trying to help OJ find the real culprits). My game isn’t as tight as I would like it, but I rarely get distraught as I do apply the old adage that “a bad day on the golf course is better than a great day at work”. To me nothing could be more truthful.
I was hoping to summon some of the good golf I have been privvy to in the last two weeks as I’ve been a spectator at both the Open at Turnberry and the Canadian Open at Glen Abbey. It was not to be. As my round was a tale of 2 nine’s. I played a very Kim Kardashian-like round of golf. My scorecard featured a tidy front but the back was bulbous. I blew up big on the back side of the course. When the wheels fell the tracks I couldn’t get them back on.
On the bright side, at least I have a reason to put a Kim Kardashian pic up.
