Often in life we need to find some subtle words to guide our lives. Some people look to the Lord for such sage advice, some will go with an older family member to illuminate their path or there’s people like myself who will find someone with no connection to me to be my beacon of light. With that I’m offering up a new section here at the home of mediocrity (otherwise known as my blog). Words to Live By. For the inaugural installment I offer you this gem.

–Detroit defensive end Dewayne White, after an only-in-Detroit moment happened in pregame warmups in Cleveland Saturday night, a fight with a teammate. White and tight end Carson Butler brawled on the field.
Now that’s what I call in house competition for a job. Fighting with a teammate on the field during warm-ups. I’ve heard all sorts of things about skirmishes with the opposition before a game, but I’ve never heard of this before. Better yet in Dewayne White’s eyes and mind the score isn’t settled yet.
