I can’t speak for everyone but I’m guessing that somewhere on my personality scouting report it would spell out that I’m a pretty easy-going kind of guy. I’m not one to ruffle too many feathers when it comes to making plans (executing plans might be a different story however) and I’m usually not too bashful to make a fool of myself if the situation calls for it. In that light I rarely turn down my wife, The First Lady, when she asks/demands me to do something (for example during a scheduled lazy day this past week I put up a baby gate which clearly violates lazy day rules and regulations, but I digress). However today I had to draw the line. (Mark it down in your calendars folks)
Recently San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker and his starlet wife Eva Longoria made a video a spoof video of Summer Lovin from the movie Grease. The First Lady is a fan of the movie and loves to watch it anytime she can, so I thought I would show her the video. Harmless, right? Well apparently not.
Let me explain. It would appear that Parker and his wife are running a facebook contest that will see them send the winner to San Antonio for an all expenses paid trip to see the Spurs play. The downside to this is that you have to enter you have to make your own video and submit it. After seeing the video The First Lady is hell-bent to win it (she’s a tad competitive).
So simple math dictates this: Contest prize = Cool but , Entry participation = Bad.
There’s no way on earth that I can do this. So I had to tell her NO. If I were to do this I my biggest fear would be becoming the next version of the large dude showing off his Star Wars Jedi skills. This much notoriety I could not endure.
