Very rarely do I laugh out loud at a post game interview (mostly due to the fact that athletes have perfected the art of cliches and don’t have much to say that is entertaining or insightful to keep my attention) but Hedo Turkoglu of the Toronto Raptors had me in stitches last night with this beauty synopsis of his breakout game vs. the Knicks.
Ball, now that ‘s classic. It’s going to be my goal to see how often I can use “BALL” in my day to day dealings. (Insert groovy dream sequence music ala Wayne’s World)
Police Officer: Excuse me sir, do you know you were speeding? Me: Ball
Waitress: How would you like your steak sir? Me: Ball
or even better
Parent: How is my son doing in your class? Me: Ball
The votes are in and the verdict is that Hedo is a genius. An absolute genius. “Ball” works in every situation.
