‘Tis the time of year that I get to help out a little. I’m not the biggest of philanthropist of all-time but I always try to help out when I can and this weekend is a text-book, easy as pie, sure fired way for me to do so. If there was ever a fundraiser that was made for me it would be this one. This weekend the leukemia and lymphoma society of Canada is holding it’s annual bottle drive at the Beer Store. How could I not participate?
Drinking a few green bottles shouldn’t be a problem for this vertically challenged fella and now I’m armed with the knowledge that I’m helping out a great organization with each and every return. It’s quite possible that I might have to have a few extra wobbly pops to ensure a that the leukemia and lymphoma society has a successful campaign.
So friends I urge you to get out and have a drink or six this fine Sunday afternoon and when you are good and ready don’t forget to find someone to drive you to the Beer Store so you can help out a great organization. In 2010 they raised $1,065,412.24, a fantastic feat to say the least, here’s hoping that they can better that total this year.
Cheers and bottoms up.
