The captain of the first Canadian Summer Olympics team to win a medal since 1936 will carry Canada’s flag at Sunday’s closing ceremony of the London Olympics. The Canadian Olympic Committee announced that Christine Sinclair would lead the team into the Olympic Stadium. Sinclair’s six goals were the most in the Olympic women’s soccer tournament.
A well deserved nomination through these groggy eyes. The Canadian Women’s National Soccer team captured the whole nation and who better to lead us into the closing then Christine Sinclair. Bravo!!
