From the files of the improbable Straight From The Arse has captured 1st place in the Canadian Blog Awards.  Amazingly the little blog that shouldn’t duped  39 percent of the voting public to secure the 2012 title of BEST SPORTS BLOG.  I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of those of you that took the time to vote for my little site of random musings.  The biggest thank you needs to go out to the First Lady who gifted me this site 5 years ago and puts up with my antics on a daily basis.

I feel like I should celebrate this momentous event with all of you.  So keep an eye out for a massive victory party at Chewy Wheeler’s palacial estate in the near future (just jokes Chew, thanks for your support too pal).

Meet my new business associate Larry Fitzgerald of the Arizona Cardinals.  Our partnership is solid.  I’ve brought a way past it’s prime Dell Inspiron and a loose grasp of the english language into our business union.  For his part Mr. Fitzgerald has brought his multiple pro bowl selections and multi million dollar contract.  Sounds fair, no?

Mr. Fitzgerald doesn’t stop there my friends.   He also has just purchased us a few Powerball tickets for this week’s mega millions dollar draw.  What a swell guy.  Nice doing business with ya.

The 25 Biggest Egomaniacs In Sports

One would think I would automatically qualify for such a list.  Amazingly enough my personal request for freshly cut up oranges, warm towels and sparkling Perrier water in my bottle during my Sunday morning hockey game aren’t enough to get me on this list.  Does this mean my request are acceptable?

THANK YOU!!!! I’m Off To The Final Round Of The Canadian Blog Awards

I need to start this post off with a simple THANK YOU to all of those who took the time to vote for this little blog that shouldn’t.  With all of your help STRAIGHT FROM THE ARSE has now moved on to the final round in the Canadian Blog Awards.  Again I can’t reiterate it enough but the fact that I was nominated was a victory in itself. 

If this blog is going to win anything it’s probably an award for a lack of creativity and most definitely for poor sentence structure and lack of any of the conventions of writing (my apologies to the wonderful teachers I’ve had in the past. It’s not you and your tutelage) Let’s face it I’ve probably made more grammar mistakes this week than any of the other blogs left in the running.
