Team Canada beer fridge

Genius work here by the fine folks at Molsons (I am somewhat obligated to call them” fine folks” as they signed my pay cheques in the summer of 2000) who have produced a beer fridge that opens only when a Canadian passport is scanned.  These beautiful beer fridges have been set up at Canada Olympic House in Sochi offering free Molson products to Canada’s Olympians and their friends.

Yet another reason to cherish your Canadian passport.  GO CANADA GO!!

The CBC is a Canadian crown corporation that serves as the national public radio and television broadcaster.  With that model the CBC.ca would be the crown corporation’s home for web content (i’m making some loose word play make sense in my mind, working for you?)

A section within the CBC.ca website is that of Canada Writes. This section is hailed as “Canada’s home for original writing of all kinds, including the CBC Literary Prizes“.   I would assume that all of these entities (radio, television and web) are in fact funded by the Canadian tax payers.

With that (sound) logic, I would suspect that some tax paying lobbyist might want to get to the bottom of the CBC’s Canada Writes series for their most recent feature.   Perhaps not a good use of the fine tax payers money, non?

All kidding a side I would like to thank Jennifer Warrren and Emily Murphy of cbc.ca/canadawrites for taking the time to waste some time with me.  I hope your website doesn’t suffer from my mug being present on it.  Truth be told it’s a pretty cool experience to have my thoughts and mediocre musings be present on such a platform.

Thanks!!

I’ve long been a fan of Erin Andrews and her work (look it up in the archives if you will).  So when the yearly (monthly/daily) list of best looking female sportscasters hits the web I feel I have a  certain obligation to loyal readers like the King in North East, Pennsylvania to post such a list (it also affords me the opportunity to post gratuitous pics of Erin Andrews for no reason.   RICHARD SHERMAN and his post game interview now has given me a legit reason.  Well done #25).

In perusing Busted Coverage’s list of 75 Hottest Female Sportscasters I was left to ponder why Erin Andrews wasn’t higher on the list?  Judging by the pictures of the other ladies on the list  it would appear that she doesn’t have a risque enough Instagram account to gain traction in the upper half of the rankings.  Again I’m sure last night’s Richard Sherman interview will balance the lack of Instagram pics vs. on field production in next year’s rankings.

On a final note I was pleased to see some Canadian content in these rankings with Sportsnet’s Erin Hawksworth’s inclusion.   It’s always nice to be included, isn’t it?  Well done Canada!
