Rory McIlroy Paying Homage To Tiger In Nike’s New Commercial

I have never been a Rory McIlroy fan but after watching Nike’s latest commercial I might have to soften my stance a tad.  My gripe with Rory centers around an interview he gave around the time Tiger’s life/career came off the rails.  McIlroy was quite cocky about his game and Tiger’s lack of game at the time and I saw McIlroy as a cocky little tyrant.

This commercial changes my view of him a little.  Nicely done PR firm.

Re2pect For Derek Jeter

I’m not a New York Yankee fan by any means.  I admire their excellence and tradition  but as a Toronto Blue Jays fan I’ve come to loathe their success at the expense of the team that I root for.

One Yankee that I cannot find fault in is the captain, Derek Jeter.  I have nothing but respect for him and this new Nike commercial is very apropos.

I too would like to tip my cap to number 2.
